Finding the perfect place to rest those weary travel legs can be a bit of a daunting task. While some traveller find it enough to share a bunk bed in some hostel, others prefer the luxury of a resort or five star hotel. Whatever it is, it is definitely worth to check out a few sites in advance to compare prices, read reviews and find a special deal for you.

Some people might find the information overload on travel and hotel sites overwhelming but trust me, it will pay off to invest some time in comparing hotels and their prices as you can safe some big bucks. Many hotels don’t always advertise their special deals. Others advertise their hotel to be beautifully located at the sea with ocean view while in reality it is a dump situated far away from the beach. So in order to spend your dream holiday without any hassle it is worth a while to spend a few minutes researching about your hotel before booking your trip.

The following questions might help to determine whether the hotel is suitable for you or not:

  • Did it get good general ratings from previous customers?
  • Are there any restaurants within a short walking distance?
  • Is the hotel located outside a town or easily reached within walking distance?
  • Or do you need a car or public transport in order to reach the hotel?
  • Are the near streets safe?
  • Is the hotel clean with friendly, helpful staff?

Also a good idea is to use Google Earth in order to find out if the hotel really is located at the beach as they advertise it.
