Your Health Needs Extra Care While Travelling

You love travelling and are ready with your backpacks….all set? Are you not forgetting something? No, I’m not trying to panic you in any case but simply trying to remind you of an important aspect of travelling. Yes, I’m talking about your health, which needs additional concern when you are out of home.

No matter whether you are a part of a tracking campaign or going out with the family, it is a must be prepared for the unseen health troubles.

Take Care of the Diet

Poor diet is the main cause of health problems while you are on a trip. So try to include some nutritious food stuff in your rucksack. Obviously if you have a larger rucksack, like the North Face Terra 35, you can carry a lot more food with you. Carry some dry foods and if that is not that possible, you should include more fruits and juices in your diet. Avoid too much of fried and oily while ensuring sufficient water intake. However, if you are traveling overseas, always go for bottled water.

Sleep Well

Although it is not possible to take complete rest, you must take breaks and try to sleep for at least 4-5 hours in the night. Rest is the best way to avoid sickness caused by excitement and travel stress.

Be Prepared For Altitude Sickness

Whenever you are travelling to a higher altitude, you must address the fact that dry air and less oxygen can cause troubles. The common problems faced by a lot of people include dehydration, breathing problems, and headaches. Hence, before you pack your bags, consult your physician about the preservation and cure that can save you from these altitude problems.

Carry You Essential Medication

It won’t be easy to find your prescribed medicines in a distant place. So if you need a medicine on daily basis, you must carry it in sufficient quantity. In fact, you can make a travel first aid that includes some common medicines along with your regular ones.
Make sure that you travel in good health because sickness can spoil the fun of exploring new places.
